Medical Philosophy

When it comes to patient care, Dr. Mahal believes that medical decisions regarding treatment, surgery, and possible research participation should be driven by the patient and not by the doctor.  At your appointment the first priority is answering your questions so that you better understand your condition.  With better understanding you can make the best decision for you with the guidance of your care team.

Research:

With today's dynamic healthcare, emerging treatments are adding to our abilities to improve quality of life.  Dr. Mahal and the team at Adult and Pediatric Urology and Urogynecology pride themselves on staying up on national trends and being the first in the region to bring new therapies to patients.  If you have an interest in cutting edge treatments or participating in clinical trials, we are happy to discuss these options at your appointment.

Prior Publications:

Doctor Mahal has published in several national peer reviewed journals including Menopause and has presented his findings at national meetings of pelvic floor surgeons.

Personal Life:

Dr. Mahal grew up in California, though has been in midwest since 2006.  He and his wife live in central Omaha with their three children.
